3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/18/17
We pinpoint three cheap options who will be forced into big minutes tonight, making them worth plugging into your DraftKings lineup.

Jordan Mickey, PF/C, Miami Heat

DraftKings Salary: $3,200

Hopefully Favors is indeed out, because there's a chance that the two bigs we just discussed keep Jordan Mickey overlooked. While Mickey has yet to play 30-plus minutes or score double-digit points in his career, he has always been a DraftKings points-per-minute monster. That hasn't changed this season, as he's averaged over a point per minute for the Miami Heat, highlighted by a career-best 27 DraftKings points in his most-recent outing.

With Miami extremely banged-up tonight, Mickey may be looking at as many minutes as he can handle. The Heat will be without both Hassan Whiteside and James Johnson for the foreseeable future, while Justise Winslow is doubtful, leaving them with just Mickey, Bam Adebayo ($4,100) and Kelly Olynyk ($5,000) in the frontcourt. Goran Dragic ($6,100) and Dion Waiters ($5,500) are also both questionable, and if they were to miss the game, Miami would be left with just eight healthy players. In that case, a full-on Miami stack would be viable in tournaments against a soft Atlanta Hawks defense.

Regardless of the guards' statuses, Mickey should be looking at tons of run against an Atlanta team ranked 28th in defensive efficiency and 30th in rebounding rate. Without Dewayne Dedmon on the floor, those numbers both are last in the league. He is a strong play in any format, as are Adebayo and Olynyk.
