FanDuel Price: $3,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.96
It goes without saying that finding value options is more difficult on a three-game slate. On top of that, the point guard position is really thin this evening. George Hill is still in play here, but he loses some luster with De'Aaron Fox returning, not to mention a $4,700 price tag that is $700 more than a week ago. On a night where two high-end plays are a must, a true basement value is needed. Jameer Nelson will likely be the most popular sub-$4,000 point guard. For a lower-owned option with slightly less upside, consider Jerryd Bayless.
Bayless is not flashy. He's never going to return 10-times value, and he's coming off the bench. However, the latter could work in his favor tonight. In tournaments on a three-game slate, you need to look to differentiate anywhere you can. Judging by the Vegas lines, Philadelphia is the only team that seems likely to have any chance at blowing out their opponent. Should this happen, Bayless could inch up towards 22-24 minutes from his usual 18-20.
Extra minutes for any player are great, but especially when that player has a solid history against a team. In his last six games against the Sacramento Kings, Bayless is averaging 0.96 points per minute. More importantly, he's never dropped below 0.7 points per minute in that span, indicating a relatively high floor at this price point. We have Bayless returning the highest value on the night.
