5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays for 12/19/17
Even with only three games to choose from, there's plenty of value to be found on Tuesday night's FanDuel slate, especially in Washington.

Markieff Morris, PF, Washington Wizards

FanDuel Price: $4,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 18.6
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.04

Markieff Morris may scare people off tonight. He needed an X-ray on his neck Sunday, and a matchup against Anthony Davis and the Pelicans may seem daunting. The injury turned out to be nothing though, and Davis is not as tough of a matchup as his image may conjure, at least from a fantasy perspective.

According to FantasyPros, the Pelicans are giving up 45.89 fantasy points per game to opposing power forwards, 12th-most in the league. The Pelicans' uptempo style of play allows for a lot of rebounding opportunities. Not surprisingly, opposing power forwards are averaging more rebounds against them (13.27 per game) than any other team in the league. While Morris is averaging career lows in rebounds, tonight presents an opportunity to regress upwards, especially since Scott Brooks will likely be giving more minutes to all of his bigs tonight.

In 13 games against the Pelicans, Morris has fallen below 20 FanDuel points only twice and has returned at least five-times value nine times. In three games against them with the Wizards, he's scored at least 23.4 FanDuel points each time. A lot of people may be focused on Mike Scott after his recent resurgence, but Morris is the safer of the two and the better play tonight.
