NBA Market Share Report: Is Marquese Chriss a Bargain Buy in Phoenix?
It may be a little too fresh to trust, but Marquese Chriss is stringing together solid production as of late. Who else is standing out?

Thrifty Marquese Chriss

If you’re shuffling through the bargain bin in search of low-cost upside, opportunities can oftentimes pop up in unexpected spots. In this case, maybe a 20-year-old power forward in the desert could make some sense.

Marquese Chriss has been available for a lowly salary all season, but it hasn’t been until recently that he’s strung together such impressive fantasy production. Over his last eight games -- while averaging 11 points, 7 rebounds, and a block a night -- Chriss has missed at least six-times value only twice. He’s even been able to move in as a top-30 fantasy scorer over the last week, racking up at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games.

He may only be the fourth-highest scoring fantasy player on his own team this season, but the recent flash from Chriss may be a sign of more to come. In the meantime, his salary should remain low enough to keep it at least interesting from a roster building standpoint.

The Suns take on the Spurs in San Antonio tonight, followed by home games against Oklahoma City and Houston next week.
