DraftKings Salary: $3,600
The Memphis Grizzlies are already without Mike Conley and Chandler Parsons, and may be without Andrew Harrison as well, who is listed as doubtful for tonight's game. If he sits too, the Grizzlies will be extremely shorthanded in the backcourt, which could mean more minutes for Mario Chalmers once again.
Chalmers saw 25 minutes of action last time out, and if he sees that much run again, it will be tough for him to not hit value at his near-minimum salary. At this price tag, Chalmers needs 18 DraftKings points to hit value, which he has hit in 17 of 23 games in which he has seen 20 minutes of playing time. At the 0.798 DraftKings points per minute that he has averaged this season, Chalmers will need just 22.5 minutes of court time to reach 18 DraftKings points, and it is hard to envision him getting fewer minutes than that if Harrison sits.
There's enough volatility to his game to avoid him in cash games on a 10-game slate, but if you are really looking for a punt play to open up space for the studs on today's slate, Chalmers is a fine tournament option.
