Much like Simmons, Marcus Morris is another player benefiting from improved health. He had entered the season with a knee issue and was restricted to fewer than 20 minutes after re-aggravating it in early December. However, things have been looking up for him lately, as he keeps rolling through his first season with the Boston Celtics.
Since we flipped the calendar to 2018, Morris has played an average of 25 minutes per game. Head coach Brad Stevens recently noted that he would be upping Morris' minutes, too, all but confirming the forward's health. We haven't gotten a healthy Morris for a substantial stretch quite yet, but there's reason for optimism Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
In his last game, Morris turned 24 minutes into 19 points (on 7-of-13 shooting), 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal, making his 34.6 FanDuel points a high-water mark for the year. Despite that, though, his price remains below $5,000. In a matchup with a Pelicans team ranked 25th in defensive rating and allowing 20.2 points and 13.3 rebounds a game to power forwards, Morris could pay off his price tag with his squad expected to score the third-most points (100) on tonight's four-game slate.
