Lost in all the on- and off-court antics of Monday's game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets was the impressive play of Tyrone Wallace. For a third straight game, the G-League call-up started and played more than 32 minutes. In fact, over the last four games, he's averaged 34 minutes a night and has turned that playing time into efficient fantasy production.
Since head coach Doc Rivers decided to roll Wallace out there for 30-plus minutes, he's averaged 27.3 FanDuel points with 13.5 points per game on 60.6% shooting. His versatility has also helped him to contribute 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, providing him with an unexpectedly nice floor on a nightly basis.
Wallace could be chalk at shooting guard, but it's hard not to like him regardless of ownership. The Clippers are still dealing with a number of injuries, so we project him to play just short of 31 minutes as he and the Clips host the Denver Nuggets.
