5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 1/31/18
Bobby Portis could be the Bulls' only healthy power forward tonight. Which other players are in good spots to produce at a low cost on Wednesday's slate?

FanDuel Price: $4,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.9
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.08

As usual, injuries are leading us to our value plays -- and power forward is no different. While some will gravitate to the aforementioned Frank Kaminsky, Bobby Portis is in a better situation to see the minutes he needs to pay off his salary.

The Chicago Bulls will be without Lauri Markkanen Wednesday, and Nikola Mirotic isn't a shoo-in to play, either. Whether Mirotic is in or not, Portis should see at least 25 minutes with the chance to get upwards of 30-plus if both frontcourt players are out. Either way, Portis is almost certain to get the 22.5 FanDuel points his price commands. In the 18 games he's played between 20 and 29 minutes, the 22-year-old has produced an average of 29.6 FanDuel points. In the one game he played more than 30, he put up 28.8 FanDuel points with 22 points in 33.4 minutes.

Sans Markkanen, Portis is using 26.6% of available possessions and averaging 1.14 FanDuel points per minute, according to NBAWowy!. Surprisingly, when both Markkanen and Mirotic are on the sideline, Portis' usage rate drops ever so slightly (26%), as does his per-minute production (1.09 FanDuel points). Even if you use the lower of the two figures, Portis needs just 21 minutes to exceed value. He's as close to a lock as you can get.
