3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 2/1/18
Russell Westbrook gets a terrific matchup against a weak defensive squad in the Denver Nuggets tonight. Which other high-priced NBA players are worth targeting in Thursday's DFS contests?

Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves

DraftKings Salary: $8,700

Karl-Anthony Towns heads into this game at a $600 discount from FanDuel and $500 cheaper than we have seen him at any point over the past two weeks on DraftKings. Your guess is as good as mine as to why he saw a steep price drop in anticipation of a terrific matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, especially with a 43.4-DraftKings-point average over the past two weeks.

The Bucks have allowed the seventh-most DraftKings points per game to opposing centers this season, and Towns fits this matchup especially well. Milwaukee's two largest deficiencies are keeping opponents off the glass and allowing open perimeter shots. They're 27th in rebounding rate and rank in the bottom-10 in both field goal percentage allowed on spot-up attempts and three-point percentage allowed.

As a floor-stretching big that also ranks in the top-five in the league in rebounding, Towns should have no issue exploiting Milwaukee's weaknesses. At this price tag, he is a viable target in any format.
