DraftKings Salary: $4,000
The Memphis Grizzlies were incredibly banged up on the front end of their back-to-back last night, utilizing what was essentially an eight-man rotation. As a result, Wayne Selden Jr. topped 30 minutes for the third consecutive game. With Tyreke Evans and Mario Chalmers both sidelined, he was forced into a high-usage role, and he parlayed his 27.8% usage rate into a season-high 39 DraftKings points, narrowly topping his previous high of 38 from a couple weeks ago.
Memphis could have a few of their players back for tonight's showdown with the new-look Detroit Pistons, but Chalmers and Evans have already been declared out. Those are the most impactful situations when it comes to Selden's minutes and role, so with Memphis down two ball-handlers, expect another night of high usage for Selden.
If any of JaMychal Green, James Ennis, or Deyonta Davis also sit, it'll further boost Selden's value. At a price tag that requires just 20 DraftKings points of him to hit value, Selden is worth a look as a punt play in any format.
