FanDuel Price: $4,100
Projected FanDuel Points: 23.0
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.61
For such a large slate, there are very few value options at center tonight. Below $5,000, you've got Cristiano Felicio ($4,100), JaVale McGee ($3,600) and Marcin Gortat to choose from. While Felicio might be the more popular play, as he likely starts his last game for the tanking Bulls, Gortat is the more proven floor play.
Gortat's minutes (26.0 per game) aren't all that encouraging, and he was completely phased out of the team's last game against the Golden State Warriors. But that should keep his ownership down and make him an unlikely tournament pivot at a low price. As others pay up, he could provide 30 FanDuel points if given the opportunity. If you don't believe it, a look at his game log would show that he's gone for 30-plus FanDuel points three times in the last eight games alone.
There's no denying that tonight's matchup with the Toronto Raptors isn't ideal. The Raptors defense rank 8th in points against (103.5), 3rd in defensive rating (105.1) and 4th in effective field goal percentage (49.9%). But Toronto is 16th against centers. And, according to Basketball-Reference, in 18 head-to-head matchups with Jonas Valanciunas, he is averaging 27.6 FanDuel points over 30.4 minutes a game.
