3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 3/8/18
Russell Westbrook combines a big workload, elite efficiency, and a terrific matchup tonight against Phoenix. What other high-priced players should be on your radar on Thursday?

Dwight Howard, C, Charlotte Hornets

Price: $8,400

Dwight Howard's recent numbers may look a bit concerning on the surface, but a deeper dive reveals there's not much to be concerned about.

He has two games of 45-plus FanDuel points in his last five, but the three games in between those contests were very underwhelming. Two were blowouts, in which he played a combined 0 minutes in the fourth quarter. The other one saw him get into foul trouble, which limited him to only 9.7 first-half minutes, and 25.0 total.

His efficiency hasn't faltered in that stretch, as he’s averaging 1.21 FanDuel points per minute (right in line with his 1.20 season average), leaving little room for concern about how he's producing right now.

There's not a huge blowout risk tonight, as the Charlotte Hornets are only moderately-sized favorites (7.0 points), meaning the Brooklyn Nets will likely see a full dose of Dwight here.

The matchup with Brooklyn should also give Dwight's efficiency a boost, as they have been one of the league's worst rebounding teams over the past month — they rank 26th in total rebound rate, while their 111.9 defensive rating in that time is also a bottom-five mark.
