5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 3/20/18
The Mavericks are short-handed for a pace-up game with the Pelicans, making them a great source of value. Which other low-cost players should you target?

Dwight Powell, PF, Dallas Mavericks

FanDuel Price: $4,900
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.53

Loading up on Mavericks isn't usually a winning strategy in DFS. They play at a slow pace and aren't a high-powered offense. But today's matchup with the Pelicans is one to try and take advantage of with three key Dallas players priced down.

On the year, the Mavericks average 102.6 points with an offensive rating of 104.6 and a pace of 97.43 possessions. In three games against New Orleans, those numbers increase to an average of 110.3 points, 106.6 offensive rating and 104.23 possessions. It's a treasure trove of value for guys who otherwise go overlooked on most slates.

One of those guys is Dwight Powell, who has seen his price drop $1,000 in the matter of three games. Since posting a 9.4-FanDuel-point dud last Tuesday against the New York Knicks, Powell's price has gone way down, despite respectable outings of 20.6 and 28.0 FanDuel points in his last two. He may not see more than 28 minutes, but he needed just 23 minutes to tally double-digit rebounds the last time these teams met earlier this month.
