Stephen Curry is a bit of a risky play tonight. He's being listed as probable to return from an ankle injury, and the Golden State Warriors are 9.5-point favorites, so there is a good chance that his minutes are below his usual allotment. We can expect elite per-minute efficiency out of him tonight, though, meaning that even if his minutes are limited he has a pretty solid floor, while his upside is huge if he does receive a full workload.
Curry is averaging 1.38 FanDuel points per minute while sporting a 30.8% usage rate on the year. If we just look at 379 minutes played with Kevin Durant (ribs, out) off the floor, that usage rate jumps to 38.0%, and he averages 1.70 FanDuel points per minute -- more than any player with at least 100 minutes played this season. It's an even smaller sample (208 minutes), but if we narrow our research to what he has done with both Durant and Klay Thompson (thumb, out) off the floor, that usage rate moves all the way to 41.9% while putting up an absurd 1.87 FanDuel points per minute.
Also in Curry's favor is the Atlanta Hawks' poor defense. On the year, they've allowed top-five fantasy numbers to opposing point guards and the league's fourth-most made three-pointers per game. They have been an even better fantasy matchup recently, playing at the league's second-highest pace since the All-Star break. This spot couldn't get much sweeter for Curry.
