The possibilities remain virtually endless when it comes to the potential order these teams end up in when the dust settles on the 2017-18 season.
Two weeks ago, the Spurs were teetering on the edge of missing the postseason for the first time in 21 years, and now they sit in fourth, ready to host an opening round series. That said, they're only two and a half games up on the ninth-place Clippers and three and a half on the 10th-place Nuggets, so the narrative could easily flip back the other way in a matter of days.
Believe it or not, with six to seven games remaining for each of these teams, it's still too early to break down any of the tiebreaker scenarios or make any reasonable predictions. The Clippers and Nuggets have consistently been sitting on the outside looking in with the lowest playoff odds, but everyone's so close in the loss column that literally anything could happen between now and season's end.
