NBA Playoff Race Update: The East Is Set, But the West Remains Wild
The eight playoff teams for the Eastern Conference have been confirmed, but we still have seven teams fighting over five remaining spots out West.

Eastern Conference - Sure Things

(1) Toronto Raptors (56-22, clinched)
(2) Boston Celtics (53-25, clinched)
(3) Cleveland Cavaliers (49-30, clinched)
(4) Philadelphia 76ers (48-30, clinched)
(5) Indiana Pacers (47-32, clinched)
(6) Washington Wizards (43-36, clinched)
(7) Miami Heat (42-37, clinched)
(8) Milwaukee Bucks (42-37, clinched)

The Wizards, Heat, and Bucks all clinched postseason berths this week, so now we have our eight Eastern Conference playoff teams.

The Raptors and Celtics are pretty well set as first and second in the conference, respectively, but teams three through five (the Cavaliers, 76ers, and Pacers) are only separated by two games, and teams six through eight are just a game apart, so we could still see plenty of shuffling before the first-round matchups are set.

The race to make the postseason may be over, but there's still plenty of intrigue in seeing where everyone will land going into the season's final week.
