Price: $13,200
Paying north of $13,000 for a player can be tough, but Anthony Davis is well worth it tonight.
The matchup between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers has a hefty 226.5-point over/under, and the Pels' 117.0-point implied total is the slate's highest. The Clippers rank 26th in defensive rating while playing at an above-average pace over the past month, and they have allowed above-average fantasy production to both frontcourt positions this season.
Since the break, Davis' 61.6 FanDuel points per game are the most in the NBA, as are his 1.70 FanDuel points per minute in that stretch. Across the NBA, we have seen 21 single-game performances of at least 70 fantasy points in that time, and Davis has accounted for 7 of them. No other player has more than four. He also has five of the six highest single-game fantasy scores since the break, which includes the only two games of at least 90 FanDuel points.
Nobody in the league has a ceiling like Davis', and when he brings that into a great matchup like he does tonight, even the massive price-tag shouldn't scare you off from trying to fit him in your lineup.
