Giannis Antetokounmpo hasn't seen especially big minutes to open the season, thanks in part to playing a shade under 32 in a blowout win over the Indiana Pacers in his last game, but he has still put up 54.1 FanDuel points per game, which is the fifth-most in the NBA to start the year. He's averaging the third-fewest minutes per game of anyone in the top 11 for fantasy scoring, and when you consider his playing time trend in recent years (with marks of 35.6 and 36.7 per game his last two seasons), we can expect this year's 33.5 clip to increase significantly moving forward.
It's no surprise that he has still managed to produce elite fantasy numbers on his somewhat limited minutes either. Last season, he ranked seventh among players with at least 500 minutes played by averaging 1.41 FanDuel points per minute. And he has opened this season with a massive 39.0% usage rate, which is tops among players with at least 20 minutes played.
He brings that into a plus matchup tonight against the New York Knicks, which leaves the Milwaukee Bucks with the slate's second-highest implied total (118.75) and puts Giannis in a tie as our top-projected fantasy scorer on the slate.
