Even with Jimmy Butler out of town, we've seen that Karl-Anthony Towns isn't the kind of fantasy stud who is going to give you a huge floor on a nightly basis.

He has notched fewer than 30 FanDuel points twice in his 10 games since Butler left, and his last three games include scores of 35.5 and 36.3 FanDuel points.

Just four games ago, he exploded for a season-high 68.6 fantasy points, though, and that kind of volatility means that we're usually getting Towns priced well below his ceiling. That doesn't give KAT much cash-game appeal (where you probably want to be paying up for Davis), but it makes him a terrific tournament option.

The Houston Rockets have been one of the league's slowest-paced teams, but they also sit 26th in defensive rating and 23rd in rebound rate, giving up top-12 fantasy numbers to centers. They don't threaten to rein in Towns' upside.
