3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 12/3/18
With Damian Jones out, Jordan Bell could see some extra run tonight in a great matchup with Atlanta. Which other low-cost players should you look to?

Kevin Knox, SF, New York Knicks

DraftKings Price: $4,000

It's certainly enticing to chase points. You see a player have a career game, see that his price is still low, and think to yourself, "Man, I'd better roster this guy, so I don't miss another fantasy explosion!" For the most part, that is not a smart thing to do. Often times, players have career games and fall right back down to earth.

Despite that, there are still reasons why you'd might want to consider this strategy at certain times. A good example of that is with New York Knicks forward Kevin Knox. Knox is coming off a 26-point (and 42.5 DraftKings-point) effort in a win against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

His points -- a career high -- are reason enough to be excited, but the more grounded reason is his playing time. Knox played 37 minutes on Saturday, the first time he's topped 30 minutes all season. While it's hard to trust how David Fizdale will use his rotation, one has got to believe that he wants to continue to get his star rookie heavily involved going forward, whether he's starting or coming off the bench.

We can't assume this, however, so it would still be rather foolish to use him in any type of 50/50 game or head-to-head where you are looking for more stability. Case in point, we have him projected for only 16.1 DraftKings points tonight, but we have his upside at 39.2. That's too much variability for lineups in which you need a solid floor, but he's just right if you're looking for someone to potentially take your GPP rosters to the next level.
