3 NBA FanDuel Studs to Target on 1/7/19
It's a rare thing to see Anthony Davis without the slate's highest salary. Is that enough to make him a top play against Memphis?

Price: $12,500

Yes, James Harden ($12,900) is on a tear, but it's rare that Anthony Davis should ever be anything but the highest-priced player on a slate.

Harden's absolutely putting up huge numbers, with 60-plus FanDuel points in 9 of his last 12 games. Davis has done that in 8 of his last 11, though. It's also not an anomaly when Davis does it since he's put up at least 60 FanDuel points in 22 of his 35 games this year, compared to 12 of 35 for Harden. Their floors appear to be similar at this point (at least until Chris Paul and Eric Gordon return), but Davis likely has an edge in upside.

The Brow has gone off for 82 or more FanDuel points twice in his last four games. While Harden has one performance of 80-plus fantasy points in his game log this month, Davis accounts for three of the nine instances of a player topping 80 FanDuel points this year, and he has four of the league's top-11 single-game fantasy scores, compared to only two for Harden.

The Memphis Grizzlies are a tough defensive team, but they rank 29th in rebound rate on the season (and dead-last over the past month), so this remains a matchup that Davis can take advantage of.
