LeBron James is coming off a weak fantasy showing in his last outing, but we don't need to be concerned about lingering injury effects. This was his second game back, and his first outing saw him play over 40 minutes and top 50 FanDuel points. This last outing also wasn't terrible from an efficiency standpoint, averaging 1.22 FanDuel points per minute (versus a 1.45 season-average) in a blowout loss.
Before the injury, he had 50 or more fantasy points in three of his final four games, as well as 7 of his last 11. He averaged 34.7 minutes per game in those contests. The injury has driven his salary way down, having been priced in the low-mid $11,000s before the absence, leaving him hugely underpriced.
He's probable tonight, so we can expect a full workload, making him a great play even in a tough matchup against the Boston Celtics.
This is also trade deadline day, and if you've been following NBA news at all, you know the Los Angeles Lakers are poised to make moves -- including but not limited to a potential blockbuster for Anthony Davis.
If the Lakers do the pull the trigger on a trade (blockbuster or otherwise) it could leave them incredibly thin for tonight, until their new players arrive in town and are active, which means LeBron could be called on for even more minutes and usage than usual.
Keep an eye on our NBA news feed today to monitor that situation.
