DraftKings Price: $3,500
Monte Morris just needs the run. That's all he needs to thrive, folks.
Thanks to a blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors and a blowout win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Morris saw the court for 29 and 27 minutes in his past two games. That compares to between 15 and 19 minutes over his previous five contests. He didn't use that extra run lightly, either.
Morris put up 17 points, 6 assists, and 30.0 DraftKings points in that loss to the Warriors and followed it up with 16, 6, and 34.75 against the Wolves. That's the type of upside he brings when he gets playing time, and he could once again see extra run this evening.
Not only is Torrey Craig listed as questionable, the Nuggets host the Dallas Mavericks, and the game is not expected to be close. The Nuggets are currently 11.5-point favorites in tonight's game at the Pepsi Center, where they are an incredible 28-6 this season and outscore opponents by an average of 11.4 points. In their 28 home wins, they've won by an average of 16.2 points.
While it's plausible the Mavs could keep this close, Denver could just as easily make quick work of them. Our models think so, at least, and they have Morris benefiting. We have Morris projected for 22.5 DraftKings points in 24.5 minutes.
