If you’re in the market for a value big man, it might make sense to check out the league’s best team. Since signing with the Bucks this past offseason, Brook Lopez has been busy putting together of the most efficient seasons of his career.
Over the last two weeks, Lopez has been a fringe top-25 fantasy producer, averaging 36 FanDuel points per game. For an average salary of less than $6,200, Lopez has dropped at least 30 fantasy points in six of eight games, including a 60-point outing against the (ahem) Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.
The market for big men is rich at the top with the likes of Embiid, Drummond, Towns, and Gobert, all of whom offer great upside in exchange for a hefty price tag. But on nights when lineups are better built around other positions, you could do far worse than a reasonable Lopez salary and his 28 minutes a night.
Lopez and the Bucks take on the Miami Heat tonight, followed by games against the Cavaliers, Rockets, and Clippers next week.
