It may not be a pretty race, but it’s a race to eighth nonetheless, and Miles Bridges and the Hornets are positioned to make a run.
Bridges has been strong over his last four, averaging better than 33 FanDuel points per game for under $5,000, resulting in a strong six-times value. He’s scored double-digits in each of those four on 60 percent shooting with eight made three-pointers and more than 40 rebounds-plus-assists.
Another key ingredient in Bridges’ recent run has been his 30-plus minutes a game. Does that change as the Hornets throw a haymaker to land the last playoff spot? Probably not. Charlotte will need all they can get out of Bridges, and we can hope the production keeps pace along with a reasonable salary. With that combination, Bridges is a strong move to close the year.
The Hornets start a four-game road trip against the Lakers tonight, followed by games against the Warriors, Jazz, Pelicans, Raptors, Pistons, Cavaliers, and Magic to try and secure a playoff spot.
