Over the last three games, Deyonta Davis has seen his role grow with the Atlanta Hawks. The big man has played at least 18.5 minutes in each of the previous three games and has surpassed 20 minutes in the last two, not coincidentally since Dewayne Dedmon has been ruled out for the year. He finished with at least 6 points and 4 rebounds in each game while steadily increasing his output from 15.3 FanDuel points on Friday to 24.3 against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
In that game versus the Spurs, Davis finished with 9 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals in 20 minutes played. With nothing left to play for this season, except more ping pong balls in the lottery, the Hawks are likely to continue giving the 22-year-old Davis a closer look in the final week of the season, especially on Wednesday. Alex Len is questionable to play and Vince Carter has already been ruled out, leaving Davis as a possible start candidate.
Priced at the minimum on Wednesday and likely looking at another dose of significant playing time, Davis is worth the flier against the Joel Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers.
