The Denver Nuggets still aren't locked in as the number 2 seed in the West, so Nikola Jokic should still be in for a full workload in close games.
Looking at his recent numbers, it may appear that Denver is taking their foot off the gas with him, as he's averaging only 29.6 minutes per game over his last eight, but that has been dragged down by blowouts. Five of those eight games were decided by at least 14 points. If we just look at games decided by 10 points or fewer, he's averaging 45.3 FanDuel points in 33.3 minutes per game over the past month.
Even though that represents a drop in efficiency from his season average of 1.50 FanDuel points per minute (sixth in the NBA), he's priced low enough that it's not much of a concern as long as he's getting the minutes.
He should be in for plenty of run tonight, as the Nuggets are favored by only 6.5 against Portland. The Blazers have been a tough matchup for opposing centers this season, but that changes with Jusuf Nurkic out. Opposing teams have averaged 4.8 more points per 100 possessions and post a rebound rate 3.1% higher with Nurkic off the court compared to on.
