The Minnesota Timberwolves haven't been too conservative with Karl-Anthony Towns' minutes despite long being out of playoff contention.
KAT has averaged 32.9 minutes per game over his last 10, and his numbers are right in line with his season-averages, putting up 23.3 points, 13.7 boards, 3.8 assists and a combined 1.9 steals and blocks per game in that time.
He topped 50 FanDuel points in five of the 10 games, including two of his last three.
Tonight's matchup against the Toronto Raptors isn't an especially easy one, though the Raps don't have a ton to play for in this game. The only thing a win gets them is a shot at home-court advantage in a hypothetical finals series against the Warriors. And the Raptors can't pass Golden State if the Dubs win out, which looks likely as the Warriors are on a five-game win streak and get a soft matchup tonight.
This Wolves-Raps game has a hefty 229.5-point over/under, which is tied for the highest total for a Raptors game in the past month. The Wolves aren't exactly scoring machines, ranking 16th in offensive rating and 13th in pace in that time, so that high total could be an indicator that oddsmakers expect Toronto to take the foot off the gas here.
That would turn an already reasonable spot for KAT (thanks to his low price-tag and recent production) into a great one.
