DraftKings Price: $11,800
The most expensive player on the slate is, not so coincidentally, also the player we project to have the highest DraftKings output of the night. In case you didn't read the name at the top, I'm talking about Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook.
If the Thunder lose and the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers both win tonight, the Thunder would have the 8 seed and play the Golden State Warriors in the first round. Nobody wants that, so Westbrook will be out there balling once again.
He was at his best last night, finishing with a triple-double in dramatic fashion, getting his 10th assist of the night on a pass to Paul George for the game-winning shot over the Houston Rockets. He's going to finish with a triple-double average for the third year in a row.
The do-everything guard is averaging 2.0 more assists per game than second place Kyle Lowry, and he's 10th in the league in rebounding. The next-closest guard in rebounding is Ben Simmons, who ranks 19th, and Simmons is seven inches taller. The only other guard in the top 50 is James Harden, who ranks 46th.
We have Westbrook projected for 59.8 DraftKings points tonight in the Thunder's quest to avoid the Warriors. Westbrook will, as always, come out to play.
