The Clippers and Lakers have gone in opposite directions with their moves, but both are alike in one way -- neither of them can expect to compete for an NBA championship any time soon with their current roster. The Clippers are dying for a center after losing Jordan while the Lakers just didn't do enough.

Sure, the efficiency numbers look better for the Lakers but they finished 27th in our power rankings last year. They missed out on many more opportunities to improve in free agency.
