The Top 3 Rim Protectors in the 2016 NBA Draft
Who among this year's prospects could make an impact as a shot-blocking specialist -- or even more?

Prince Ibeh, Texas Longhorns

Prince Ibeh, a 6'10" center out of Texas, clearly isn't the most heralded NBA prospect in this year's draft.

As a senior, the 22-year-old averaged a meager 4.1 points and 5.0 rebounds in just over 18 minutes per game. He was basically a rotational player and struggled with foul trouble from time to time.

However, Ibeh was a very good shot blocker in his limited minutes, as he averaged 2.0 blocks per while denying 11.9% of his opponents' two-point field goals.

He's particularly effective as a weak side rim protector, as you can see here.

This play pretty much epitomizes what Ibeh's role on an NBA team could be: a rotational player and anchor of a reserve squad's defense. He could be worth a look in the second round for teams with such a need. And if you're pinning down a current comparison, look no further than Bismack Biyombo.
