NBA
Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Friday 11/11/16
It's an eight-game NBA DFS slate, and several starters are looking questionable to play.

Value may not be hard to find tonight in NBA DFS. There are several starters who have already been ruled out and a few who might still be out on Friday.

The question becomes whether or not these punt plays opening up are worth rostering or fading.

Which injuries should you be monitoring?

Notable Injuries

Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards

Bradley Beal had to leave Washington's game on Wednesday with hamstring tightness, and he is questionable for tonight. Otto Porter had the game of his life Wednesday, and he will be a popular pick tonight if Beal is out. John Wall will see a big boost in usage as well, while Kelly Oubre and Marcus Thornton might become a punt targets if Beal is out.

Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Sun's Ryan Wolstat posted a video from Toronto Raptors shootaround this morning that showed Jonas Valanciunas not participating. That could be a sign that he is in danger of missing tonight's game, his third straight. Pascal Siakam and Jakob Poeltl have seen the biggest boost in minutes without him, but Patrick Patterson has been the biggest fantasy beneficiary along with DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Charlotte Hornets

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will be out on Friday night due to a sore back, despite saying initially that he didn't expect to miss any time. Without him, Nicolas Batum will have to play more minutes at both wing positions, with Marco Belinelli possibly seeing 20-plus minutes in this one as well.

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

After missing Wednesday's game, Joel Embiid will back back for the home leg of the Philadelphia 76ers battle with the Indiana Pacers tonight. He will miss tomorrow's game and be back on Monday, so feel free to trust The Process in your DFS lineups in a juicy matchup against Indiana.

George Hill, Utah Jazz

George Hill did not participate in the Utah Jazz's morning shootaround, and he is officially questionable heading into Friday's game. Hill has already missed two games with his thumb issue, but neither Shelvin Mack or Dante Exum have been great fill-in DFS options. It looks like if Hill misses, the biggest boosts go to Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors.

Al Horford, Boston Celtics

Al Horford has already been a frustrating player to own in fantasy, and his recovery from a concussion is adding to the angst. He is out again on Friday night. With the return of Kelly Olynyk, along with Tyler Zeller and Amir Johnson, it's hard to predict who is the best DFS option in this frontcourt.

Al-Farouq Aminu, Portland Trail Blazers

Al-Farouq Aminu has already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings, and if Noah Vonleh starts again, he could be one of the better punt plays of the evening. He played 26 minutes in a blowout against the Los Angeles Clippers, but the biggest news from that game was Ed Davis had three fouls in two minutes and Meyers Leonard was 3-for-8 with 4 turnovers. Leonard and Vonleh both had double-digit rebounds, though, and could be in line to see big minutes in the frontcourt rotation on Friday.

Tony Parker and Danny Green, San Antonio Spurs

Danny Green made his return to the court on Wednesday after missing the first seven games of the season, but he will rest tonight for the San Antonio Spurs. However, the Spurs will get back Tony Parker, who is ready to play and should start on Friday. In a tough matchup against the Detroit Pistons, no Spurs get much of a boost with Green out and Parker back.

Terrence Ross, Toronto Raptors

Terrence Ross is a game-time decision on Friday night, and if he misses, it could see Norman Powell become a solid punt play in his place. Powell logged 23 minutes on Wednesday when Ross was scratched.
