5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 2/1/17

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Isaiah Whitehead, PG, Brooklyn Nets

FanDuel Price: $4,000
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.8
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.44

Isaiah Whitehead has been sharing backcourt duties with veteran Randy Foye, but Whitehead is slowly taking the reins as the leading point man for the Brooklyn Nets. Over the past three games, Whitehead is averaging 13 points, 5.3 assists, and just 1 turnover in 24.8 minutes per game.

According to our tools, Whitehead is trending as the second-hottest point guard tonight -- he's played 66.95% above his season average in terms of fantasy points per night over his last five games.

Tony Allen, SG, Memphis Grizzlies

FanDuel Price: $4,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 19.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.38

Tony Allen has been a thief as of late, snatching up an average of 2.3 steals over his past three games, and he ranks fifth in the league for steals on the season. Allen has contributed in other categories, as well, as he's averaged 7.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists over his past four games.

Allen owns the best defense-versus-position rank among all shooting guards on Wednesday's slate.

Kent Bazemore, SF, Atlanta Hawks

FanDuel Price: $5,000
Projected FanDuel Points: 23.8
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.76

Kent Bazemore is coming off a game of season highs with 24 points and 9 rebounds in a quadruple-overtime affair. Bazemore has been hot from the three-point line as he's converted 13 of 26 three-point tries over his past five games. During that span, Bazemore is averaging 19.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.

Bazemore owns the fifth-highest projected value among all small forwards on tonight.

Domantas Sabonis, PF, Oklahoma City Thunder

FanDuel Price: $3,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.1
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.88

Domantas Sabonis has stepped up his game recently with extra minutes going his way due to Enes Kanter's injury. He's scored in double figures in three straight games. During that span, Sabonis is tallying 11.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and a steal in 29.9 minutes.

Sabonis has the second-best defense-versus-position rank among all power forwards on Wednesday's jam-packed slate. Priced at the minimum salary, Sabonis is worth considering as a value play.

JaVale McGee, C, Golden State Warriors

FanDuel Price: $3,500
Projected FanDuel Points: 20.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.83

With news of Zaza Pachulia being out at least one week, JaVale McGee figures to see a boost in minutes in the Golden State Warriors' rotation. Over his last five games, McGee has averaged only 10 minutes, but he has put up averages of 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks. With extra time on the court, McGee has an opportunity to pad his stats.

McGee owns the highest projected value among all centers tonight. The Warriors are favored by 15 points versus the Charlotte Hornets, so McGee could get some extra run in a potential blowout.
