Nine games line the NBA DFS slate tonight, and a few teams are dealing with some value-opening injuries. That being said, it is definitely a great night to play because as of this afternoon, there aren't too many injuries to worry about.
Injury news can change quickly in the NBA, especially because we are heading full steam into the trade deadline and the All-Star break. So, you still need to know all of the information before making your lineups. Start with these bits of injuries news below.
Denver Nuggets
The biggest news so far today is that Nikola Jokic is ready to play tonight. He will be on a minutes limit, but according to coach Mike Malone, it won't be "a terribly stringent one."
However, Danilo Gallinari will not play on Friday due to a groin injury, but it appears as if it's not too serious. Wilson Chandler is set to start against the Milwaukee Bucks, and Emmanuel Mudiay is also set to be back.
Will Barton is questionable and will be in line for big minutes on Friday if his ankle will allow it. If he sits out again, Chandler, Gary Harris, and Jamal Murray will have to do the heavy lifting on the wing.
Boston Celtics
Avery Bradley is doubtful for the Boston Celtics tonight, which should once again cede some usage over to Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford. Kelly Olynyk is questionable tonight with a shoulder injury as well.
If he can't go, the Celtics won't really have many minutes to dole out, but with the matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, I could see it helping Jonas Jerebko the most.
DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors
DeMar DeRozan sat out Tuesday and Wednesday for the Toronto Raptors, but we have yet to hear whether he will be potentially available for Friday. If he is out again, Norman Powell and Kyle Lowry deserve considerable bumps.
Julius Randle, Los Angeles Lakers
Julius Randle has been battling pneumonia, and he played only six minutes last night for the Lakers. Now he is being listed as questionable, so he is probably a player to avoid tonight.
If he is limited or sits out, Larry Nance Jr. and Tarik Black gain the most in DFS, while Ivica Zubac could be a flier in a tournament.
Deron Williams, Dallas Mavericks
Deron Williams was ruled out of Wednesday's game for the Dallas Mavericks, and we have yet to hear any information on him for Friday. However, with how well Yogi Ferrell and Seth Curry are playing together, it's hard to see the Mavs rushing him back to mess with whatever chemistry thy may be building with their newly-formed backcourt.
Ed Davis, Portland Trail Blazers
Ed Davis says he is ready to return tonight after sitting out the last five games. The Portland Trail Blazers' frontcourt is tough to predict, and with Davis back, it muddies the waters even more. Noah Vonleh and Meyers Leonard take the biggest hits.
Dragan Bender, Phoenix Suns
Dragan Bender returned Wednesday and played 13 minutes for the Phoenix Suns, but he is listed as out in tonight's game notes. Marquese Chriss could end up playing close to 30 minutes -- if not more -- on Friday and is a fine value target.
