5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 2/28/17
Jon Leuer has contributed well as the Pistons starting power forward. Which other low-cost options are in a good spot for Tuesday's NBA DFS action?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Cameron Payne, PG, Chicago Bulls

FanDuel Price: $4,000
Projected FanDuel Points: 12.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 3.17

With Michael Carter-Williams reportedly on the chopping block, Cameron Payne could be assimilated into the Chicago Bulls rotation much sooner. Payne practiced with the starters on Monday, so he is definitely someone to keep an eye on. In his debut on Saturday, he recorded 6 points on 2 three-pointers in 12 minutes.

Payne is tied with teammate Rajon Rondo with the best defense-versus-opponent matchup among all point guards on Tuesday night. The Bulls take on the Denver Nuggets, a matchup with the second-highest over/under total at 222.

Jeremy Lamb, SG, Charlotte Hornets

FanDuel Price: $4,100
Projected FanDuel Points: 18.8
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.58

Jeremy Lamb is coming off a season-high 36.9 minutes, over which he tallied 19 points on 8-of-8 from the free throw line. On the year, Lamb is putting up 14.6 points and 7.3 rebounds when playing 20-plus minutes. The Charlotte Hornets' roster isn't at full strength, so Lamb could be in line for more opportunities.

According to our tools, Lamb is trending as tonight's third-hottest shooting guard, playing 31.01% above his season average in terms of fantasy points per night over the last five games.

Maurice Harkless, SF, Portland Trail Blazers

FanDuel Price: $4,800
Projected FanDuel Points: 23.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.94

Maurice Harkless has busted out of the gates following the midseason break by averaging 15 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2 blocks over his last two games. Furthermore, Harkless is shooting 65% from the field and has logged 37.1 minutes over the same span.

Harkless is projected to net the ninth-most FanDuel points among all small forwards playing on tonight's schedule.

Jon Leuer, PF, Detroit Pistons

FanDuel Price: $4,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 26.7
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.8

Jon Leuer looks to have firmly staked his claim in the Detroit Pistons starting lineup. He's averaging 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists when running with the first unit and has scored double figures in 9 of his last 10 games.

Leuer owns the highest projected value among all power forwards tonight. He also is tied with teammate Tobias Harris with the second-best defense-versus-opponent matchup among all power forwards.

Ivica Zubac, C, Los Angeles Lakers

FanDuel Price: $3,600
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 6.22

New Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson has stated he wants to see more of his rookie big man, Ivica Zubac. The burgeoning prospect could be seeing more consistent minutes soon as the season nears closer to the playoffs. Though coming off a paltry 2-point effort, Zubac still possesses per-36 averages of 15.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks this season.

Zubac boasts the highest projected value among all players on tonight's slate. At near-minimum salary, he is worth considering as a punt option.
