Even though there are only five games lining the NBA DFS slate tonight, there are a ton of meaningful injuries and absences that should open up some nice value plays here on Thursday night.
Brooklyn Nets
Jeremy Lin will be making his return tonight after a brief absence due to an ankle injury. However, with Spencer Dinwiddie potentially still starting and Archie Goodwin playing more minutes, it's unknown how much Lin will play, even with Joe Harris and Sean Kilpatrick still out tonight.
Phoenix Suns
Alan Williams is expected tor play after missing a game with food poisoning. However, T.J. Warren is listed as questionable in the Phoenix Suns game notes, so keep an eye on his status. If Warren can't go, Jared Dudley and Derrick Jones Jr. could see some extended run. Also of note for the Suns is Ronnie Price, who is doubtful. Look for Tyler Ulis to benefit if Price is indeed out.
Serge Ibaka, Toronto Raptors
Because of his boxing match with Robin Lopez a few nights ago, Serge Ibaka has been suspended for tonight's game. With him out, the Toronto Raptors will have to turn to Patrick Patterson and Jonas Valanciunas to fill the void.
Derrick Rose, New York Knicks
Derrick Rose suffered a foot injury last night and while X-rays were negative, he was seen limping to the locker room, which is probably not a good sign for his availability tonight. Nothing is official yet, but if he is out, Ron Baker is going to be a popular value play while Chasson Randle could see some more run.
Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat
Hassan Whiteside had to have stitches in his hand, but he is listed as probable tonight. Feel free to deploy him as usual against the Raptors.
Seth Curry, Dallas Mavericks
Seth Curry reportedly had a sore shoulder two nights ago after his game against the Golden State Warriors, but there have been no updates on his status for tonight. Check closer to roster lock for another update.
Tony Allen, Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies should have Tony Allen ready to play after he went through some treatment on his knee. Double-check his status, as well, though.
David Lee, San Antonio Spurs
David Lee is ready to play tonight as the San Antonio Spurs take on Memphis.
