If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and depending on injury news, even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer and a handful of other awesome tools to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with a primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on Tuesday's two-game slate that spans Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs and Game 1 of the Cleveland Cavaliers-Boston Celtics matchup.
Best of the Best
Kevin Durant ($9,700): Durant's price tag on this slate doesn't reflect the workload and production we've seen from him since he returned to the lineup after nursing a calf injury earlier in these playoffs. He's played 36-plus minutes in three of his last four games, averaging 53.9 per game in those three. He's a top play regardless of the status of Kawhi Leonard (doubtful, ankle), but he becomes an especially strong option if the Spurs are forced to play without their best defender. No disrespect to Jonathon Simmons and the cast of thousands who will try to slow Durant, but they're not Kawhi.
