If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
Stephen Curry ($9,600) - Curry hasn't been his same old self from beyond the arc this season (33.8%), but in the last three games -- all Golden State Warriors wins -- he has found new ways to fill up the stat sheet. While he is still scoring at a nice clip (26.3), the Chef has upped his assists (7.0) and steals (3.0) per game as he has averaged 47.9 FanDuel points per game in that span. Any game the Warriors play in seems to end up a shootout as the Dubs run with the sixth-fastest pace in the league while posting the NBA's best scoring offense (120.0). Expect no different on Sunday when they play the Detroit Pistons, who will be on the second game of a back-to-back set. Also worth noting is Golden State has made the most threes per game (13.8) while the Pistons are coming off a game where they gave up 15 threes to the Los Angeles Clippers.
