If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which begins at 6 p.m. EST and includes just two games.
Best of the Best
James Harden (FanDuel Price: $11,800) - There has been no one hotter than the Houston Rockets' superstar. In the last week, the Beard is averaging 37.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 10.3 assists, and 2.3 steals for 65.6 FanDuel points per game. Harden's last four outings have all produced at least 50 fantasy points -- with a pair of 76.9-point and 80.7-point explosions leading the way. With Chris Paul nearing a return but still out on Sunday, Harden and his league-leading 54.1% assist percentage are lined up for another monster game against the fast-paced Indiana Pacers. Indy plays at the 10th-fastest pace in the league while allowing 108.4 points per game. The contest with the Rockets has by far the highest over/under of the day, with Houston owning an implied total of 113.0 points.
