If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
Here, we'll put all of that together and take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
Anthony Davis ($12,500): DeMarcus Cousins' season-ending injury should mean huge things for Davis' fantasy value moving forward. Overall this season, Davis owns a 25.9% usage rate, 14.0% rebound rate and 1.25 FanDuel points per minute, but with Boogie off the court, those numbers jump to a 32.0% usage rate, 20.4% rebound rate and 1.73 FanDuel points per minute. For context, the highest mark anyone with more than 10 minutes played this season is averaging is 1.51. Davis combines that elite efficiency with huge playing time, averaging more than 39 minutes per game in January. All of that should mean big things in a matchup with a Kings squad that allows top-four fantasy production to both power forwards and centers.
