Lineup Analysis
With 10 NBA games tonight, fantasy players have a full selection of players available. Here at numberFire, our optimal lineup tool speeds up the research process and gives you the top projected scoring lineup.
Tim Duncan has everything going in his favor against the Lakers tonight. The Lakers are one of the worst defensive teams in the league and give up more fantasy points per game to opposing centers than any other squad. Additionally, Duncan’s price of $7,600 on DraftKings is the lowest he’s had in three games. Although this game will most likely be over by the third quarter, Duncan should do enough in those 25-30 minutes to give you great value.
Chris Paul is the highest priced PG on DraftKings tonight at $9,600, but he should be a safe play. He's posted four straight double-double’s and just missed a triple-double on Wednesday night. When Paul played the Jazz earlier this year, he put up 57.5 fantasy points in 37 minutes. The Jazz play at a slow pace, but their 110.1 defensive efficiency is the second worst in the league.
While Paul and Duncan may represent safe plays, Tyreke Evans and Eric Bledsoe have some questions surrounding them tonight. Evans missed Wednesday’s game with an illness, while Bledsoe will be playing in his second game since returning from a 32-game absence. Both players average a little more than a fantasy point per minute, so they should return value assuming they play at least 30 minutes tonight.
Randy Foye makes the optimal lineup tonight due to the decrease in his price. At just $4,400, Foye is a bargain when you consider he was at $6,000 earlier this month. Currently in a slump in which he hasn’t scored over 17.5 fantasy points in his last three games, Foye will be looking to bounce back tonight on the road vs the Heat. He put up 23.5 fantasy points earlier this year against the Heat and a similar performance can be expected tonight.
Lance Stephenson is at his lowest price in a long time ($6,200) and playing the Sixers tonight should allow him to easily match his 32 fantasy point per game average. The Sixers are the worst team in the league, but even better for fantasy players is the fact that they play at the fastest pace in all of basketball. This allows for many scoring opportunities, and Stephenson should see his fair share tonight.
The lowest priced player in the optimal lineup tonight is Brandon Bass, sitting at just $4,200. This is the lowest price for Bass this season, and considering the fact that he put up 32.5 fantasy points last time against the Suns, he's a solid play.
Gerald Henderson is a nice option at just $4,400 too, a price that is well reduced from his normal $5,500-$6,000 range. Henderson is playing in his second game back from a five-game absence, and produced 17.25 fantasy points in 27 minutes on Wednesday. Now that he’s starting again, a return to his 32 minutes and 25 fantasy point production should be on the cards.
