If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's two-game slate.
Best of the Best
LeBron James ($13,000): FanDuel has made pricing more polarizing on both the top and bottom of the spectrum for Round 2, but it's still worth paying up for the top studs. The King's 61.6 FanDuel points per game in the postseason are 7% higher than anyone else is averaging, and he topped 60 fantasy points in four of his seven first-round games (as well as topping 70 twice). We also saw him play fewer than 39.9 minutes in only one of those six games, averaging the most of any player to advance to Round 2, with 41.1. He wasn't consistent against Toronto in the regular season, but one of those three matchups saw him hit 70 FanDuel points. In terms of both floor and ceiling, LeBron continues to be the playoffs' premier fantasy option.
