If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. EST and features four games.
Best of the Best
Bradley Beal ($10,000): While it's hard to fathom paying this much for Beal, he's worth every penny. Ever since John Wall has been out, Beal has been a fantasy beast due to his combination of high usage rate, hot shooting from outside and a plethora of minutes played. While a two-month sample size is generous, some might want more recent production trends to make a case for rolling with Beal over Karl-Anthony Towns or Russell Westbrook. In the last nine games, Beal has scored no less than 44.4 FanDuel points in ny outing. That's right, he pretty much has hit value -- 5 FanDuel points per $1,000 -- at this price or narrowly missed it in each of his past nine games. Also, he has been showing off an excellent ceiling, as well, scoring more than 51.0 FanDuel points in five of those nine games and clearing 60.0 fantasy points in two of them. He is affordable, safe and has the potential to win you the slate.
