One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.
Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.
Olivier Sarr, C, Oklahoma City Thunder ($3,500)
The Oklahoma City Thunder have a ton of players out tonight, which opens up a ton of value.
With so many players out for the Thunder, they've elevated some players from the G-League, one of which being Olivier Sarr. He was in the starting lineup in their most recent game, and that is where we should be seeing him tonight versus the San Antonio Spurs. This is a great matchup since the Spurs are allowing 57.35 FanDuel points per game to centers, which is the seventh-worst in the league. Both teams are in the top 12 in offensive pace, so it's no surprise to see a high 230.5-point over/under.
Sarr is the minimum salary tonight and helps with roster construction if you are looking to pay up for some of the elite guards on the slate. Sarr is projected for 24.28 minutes and 24.2 FanDuel points, making him the top overall value option on the slate.
Brandon Williams, PG, Portland Trail Blazers ($5,200)
Brandon Williams has emerged as a consistent value option for the Portland Trail Blazers, and that's not stopping tonight.
With nearly 10 players on the injury report, the Trail Blazers have offered for some time and Williams has been a key part of that. He comes in with 24.9 FanDuel points or more in four of his last five games, posting 20-plus real points in three of those games. A 20.6% offensive usage rate and 0.97 FanDuel points per minute are nothing to sneeze at, especially when he is projected for 32.13 minutes along with 29.0 FanDuel points. That makes him the fourth-best value option among point guards tonight.
He'll be going up against the New York Knicks with a 222.0-point over/under and a larger 12.5-point spread. While the spread isn't ideal, the Trail Blazers are rolling with a smaller rotation, which should lock him in for plenty of minutes and plenty of production as he's been doing on a consistent basis.
Donte DiVincenzo, SG, Sacramento Kings ($4,200)
A great game environment plus a little revenge factor?
That is what we have with the Sacramento Kings hosting the Milwaukee Bucks with a whopping 241.5-point over/under and an 8.5-point spread. Both teams are in the top eight of the league in offensive pace, which should give us one of the best fantasy-scoring environments on the slate. Donte DiVincenzo is the player with a bit of revenge factor, going up against his former team, who are particularly bad at one thing -- guarding three-pointers.
The Bucks are allowing opponents to make 14.2 three-pointers per game, which is dead last in the league. What is DiVincenzo good at? Coming off the bench and hitting three-pointers. He's knocked down three or more three-pointers in three of his last five games. Not to mention he does a good bit to fill up the stat sheet along the way. He's projected for 28.06 minutes and 25.6 FanDuel points, making him the fourth-best value option on the entire slate.
