One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.
Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.
Jae'Sean Tate, SF/PF, Houston Rockets ($4,100)
The Houston Rockets have five players on the injury report, and it opens up some offensive usage and production for Jae'Sean Tate.
The matchup versus the Sacramento Kings is one of the best fantasy environments on the slate with a 229.5-point over/under, a close 3.0-point spread, and both teams in the top seven in offensive pace. We also see both teams in the bottom four for the most FanDuel points allowed per game to all positions combined. It's all offense and no defense in this matchup, which is exactly what we want to see for fantasy production.
All of this comes gives Tate a projection of 27.91 minutes and 26.5 FanDuel points, making him the seventh-best value option on the slate and the second-best among small forwards tonight.
Kevin Love, PF/C, Cleveland Cavaliers ($5,800)
Both Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley are out for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Those injuries put Kevin Love in a spot to be the starting center versus the Dallas Mavericks, where the total is set at 214.5-points and a 2.0-point spread. While the over/under is one of the lowest on the slate, the increase in minutes and usage overall put Love in a good spot to rack up plenty of fantasy points. When those players are off the court, Love holds a 26.1% offensive usage rate while producing 1.18 FanDuel points per minute. Both of those are the second-highest on the team behind only Darius Garland.
While the lover over/under isn't ideal, Love's solid production per minute is exactly what we want from a player at his salary. He comes in projected for 32.37 minutes and 36.6 FanDuel points, putting him as the second-best value option on the entire slate.
Greg Brown, PF, Portland Trail Blazers ($3,500)
Surprise, surprise -- the Portland Trail Blazers offer value options tonight.
In the ever-revolving door of NBA DFS injuries, the Trail Blazers have been a constant in recent weeks. Their injury report is nearly a full team's worth of names, and it has caused their deep bench players to become full-time starters. Greg Brown is one of those players with an increased role, seeing 20 minutes or more in three of his last four games -- not including the most recent game where he played only 5 minutes and left with an eye issue.
A solid 225.5-point over/under against the New Orleans Pelicans has Brown projected for 23.53 minutes and 22.1 FanDuel points, making him the eighth-best value option, but the only one among those eight at the minimum salary.
