One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays.

If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at some players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on FanDuel tonight, using numberFire's daily fantasy basketball projections as a guide.

Kyle Anderson, SF/PF, Minnesota Timberwolves

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

The Minnesota Timberwolves' frontcourt is a go-to value spot for Monday's 15-game main slate with Rudy Gobert out.

With Gobert out last game, Kyle Anderson saw 30.7 minutes, a 14.0-minute boost over his season average. Anderson took only 7 field goal attempts in that one against the Houston Rockets but also pitched in 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals for 36.6 FanDuel points.

On the season, Anderson is averaging just 0.82 FanDuel points per minute but has been a 1.00-plus producer in each of the past two seasons, so we can likely expect an uptick in production there.

Anderson is projected for 8.23 FanDuel points per $1,000 in salary -- easily the best value rating of the night from numberFire's model.

Taurean Prince, SF/PF, Minnesota Timberwolves

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

Sticking with another SF/PF from the Timberwolves with a $3,600 salary, we can also roster Taurean Prince.

Prince's projection (22.7 FanDuel points over 27.7 minutes) is a lot weaker than Anderson's projection (29.6 points in 29.6 minutes -- that 1.00 mark we just mentioned), so he's not as strong a value play.

That said, he ranks third in value rating from numberFire's model.

Prince took 12 shots in 31.6 minutes last game without Gobert, but it was Anderson who drew the start. Prince did play 10 fourth-quarter minutes in that game, too. Both are extremely viable.

Isaiah Hartenstein, PF, New York Knicks

FanDuel Salary: $5,200

Isaiah Hartenstein should be freed up again with Mitchell Robinson out. Hartenstein played 38.5 minutes against the Boston Celtics without Mitchell last game, trailing only Julius Randle.

numberFire's model projects Hartenstein for 35.5 minutes tonight and 40.5 FanDuel points (7.78 per $1,000).

Is that too high? Not really. Hartenstein's per-minute FanDuel point average this season is 1.03, but he's been above a 1.00 in every year but his rookie season and was at 1.23 in 2021-22 with the Los Angeles Clippers and 1.19 across multiple teams in 2020-21.

This one is minutes plus efficiency. Don't overthink it.

Terance Mann, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

Let's go back down to the bottom of the salary pool for these last two.

The Clippers have a lot of minutes open with the state of their injury list, and Terance Mann took advantage of that last game by playing 29.8 minutes. He put up 28.1 FanDuel points by chipping in 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals to go along with his 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting.

Mann's not likely to tear it up on a per-minute basis but has been at 0.80 FanDuel points per minute the past two seasons.

It's hard to ignore the minutes.

Christian Koloko, C, Toronto Raptors

FanDuel Salary: $3,700

Christian Koloko's early-day minutes projection (22.3) doesn't quite stack up with the other value plays in this piece, but he is coming off of a 31.0-minute game against the Chicago Bulls.

Pascal Siakam's absence opens up 35.6 minutes, and Koloko -- even at a modest minutes projection -- is expected to score 20.7 FanDuel points at nearly the minimum salary.

Koloko's got room to grow there, though.

He racked up 6 blocks in those 31.0 minutes last game and chipped in 7 rebounds, 11 points, and 2 assists for 39.4 FanDuel points. Koloko started without Siakam and generated 17.9 first-quarter FanDuel points. Plus, he closed out that game.
