We're here to help you win.
Over the last few months, the team at numberFire has ideated and built a brand new suite of tools for daily fantasy basketball players. We've enhanced our old tools, and built brand new ones, as well.
Let's take a look at what's changed.
Lineup Generator
You can still generate an optimal lineup with our Lineup Generator tool, but you can also do a lot more now.Â
With the Lineup Generator, you can lock in or omit players based on your daily research, and then allow our algorithms to fill the lineup's holes with recommended picks. If you're playing in a cash game, you can let the tool know, and lower-variance players will be thrown into the optimal lineup. The same goes for tournaments, where higher-variance players will be tossed into the lineup.
Throughout your experience within our suite of tools, you'll be able to lock and exclude particular players depending on your research. And each time you make that action, you can generate a brand new lineup with our without said players.
Projections
Most of you are familiar with our daily projections, but added to what you've seen each day on numberFire is the ability to lock and exclude players straight from the projections screen. In other words, if you see a player is projected to score a ton of fantasy points and you need him in your lineup, you can lock him in. If the opposite is true, you can exclude him from any optimal lineup you create in the Lineup Generator.
Advanced Stats
Within the Advanced Stats tab, you'll get all the information you need on a particular matchup, floor and ceiling player projections, how often a player hits value on a particular site, and how consistent a player has performed throughout the season. All in one easy-to-navigate location.
Trends
Rather than looking at things from an entire season's perspective, the Trends tool allows you to see how players have performed over the last 5 to 10 games of action. You can see which players are hottest and coldest, and how player Usage Rates have changed over the last couple of weeks. And, if you're curious and want to analyze salary movement, we've got that info in the Trends tab, too.
Games/Teams
The Games/Teams section allows you to see projected starting lineups, as well as the spread and game total -- according to Vegas -- for each game. This is a free offering, and is a good place to ensure your players are actually, you know, playing in the night's game.
Heat Map
The Heat Map is something that we've had for a couple of months, but it's a vital tool for your DFS research. If you're looking for a nice visual to see which teams have the highest implied total, the fastest pace, the best Effective Field Goal Percentage, how many days off they've had -- really, anything imaginable -- you'll want to use the Heat Map.
