One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you'll need to find one of these lower-priced options to squeeze everyone into your lineup.
Let's take a look at three guys who can help fill the gaps in your lineup tonight.
Marcus Smart, SG, Boston Celtics
FanDuel Price: $5,600
The news that Avery Bradley is missing Game 2 will benefit both Marcus Smart and Evan Turner. Smart scored 29 fantasy points in Game 1 and will have an even better opportunity to produce for the Celtics tonight.
Smart has scored more than 20 fantasy points in nine of his last 11 games. He is playing a consistent game of around 28 minutes and getting up around 10 shots per contest. Those numbers should increase with Bradley out.
According to NBA Wowy, Smart averages 0.77 FanDuel points per minute without Bradley on the floor. With him, though, that mark is 0.81. But the minutes will help overcome this.
Evan Turner, SG, Boston Celtics
FanDuel Price: $6,000
I hesitate to suggest two players from the same team, let alone the same position. But Turner will benefit for the same reason as Smart. Their prices are low enough that using both shooting guard spots on FanDuel with Celtics players can pay off.
Turner put together a 30-fantasy-point outing in Game 1 and has averaged 28 fantasy points over his last 13 games. Like Smart, Turner has been very consistent in the Boston offense and should only benefit in both playing time and Usage Rate with Bradley out of the lineup.
Turner averages 0.82 FanDuel points per minute without Bradley but 0.87 with him. Again, though, his minutes should carry him to a useful fantasy day.
Xavier Munford, PG, Memphis Grizzlies
FanDuel Price: $3,500
Who? Welcome to the Memphis Grizzlies' playoff roster. Xavier Munford has been playing around 29 minutes a game for the last four contests and has compiled an average of 20.7 fantasy points per game, which is a value of 5.9 (points per $1,000 in salary) on today's minimum $3,500 salary.
Don't expect Munford to lead a upset effort against the Spurs, but he can be a nice fantasy asset to own on a small slate of just two games.
Over his last four games -- when he started playing real minutes -- he is averaging 6.8 points a game but is also taking 10 field goal attempts a game. Munford is also averaging 3.3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals per contest. The stats won't blow you away, but he offers so much savings and strangely has a nice floor for anyone at a minimum salary.
