Recording an undefeated season at the professional level in sports is a notion that really only exists in the NFL, where regular-season schedules feature 16 games and a team would max out -- including the Super Bowl -- at 19 games.
But when the Golden State Warriors reeled off 73 of 82 games for wins during the 2015-16 NBA season, it's fun to wonder if an NBA team could really run the table.
After acquiring superstar free agent Kevin Durant to add to their already elite lineup, the conversation is both more fun and a little more realistic.

110 to 1 is pretty insane, but what do our numbers have to say on the matter?
Well, it's a bit tricky, as the NBA schedule hasn't been released yet for the 2016-17 season, but based on last season's schedule, things aren't looking too good.
According to our chief analyst, Keith Goldner, the Warriors have less than a 10,000 to 1 chance to finish the regular season undefeated. After 10,000 simulations of the most recent NBA season with the updated roster, the Warriors maxed out at 77 wins, a full five victories shy of the perfect 82-0.
But as -150 favorites to win the 2016-17 NBA Finals, the odds that really matter -- the championship odds -- are in their favor according to the bookmakers.
