Chicago Bulls power forward Wendell Carter Jr. (left thumb) will undergo surgery on Monday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The rookie will miss up to 3 months, per Charania, so he may be done for the season. Bobby Portis stands to be the primary beneficiary.
Carter Jr. is averaging 25.6 FanDuel points through 44 games, with 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals, and 1.3 blocks per contest.
